Robert Castrén

Robert’s love and respect for the Baltic Sea were shaped during his childhood years, living in the Archipelago Sea and piloting a medical boat during summers.

Upon moving to Helsinki and exploring the Capital Archipelago, Robert was struck by how underrated this stunning region was. This realisation became clear when friends from abroad visited, and he introduced them to Finnish nature and the way of life right here, in the Capital Archipelago.

The enthusiastic reactions from these trips inspired him to establish Helsinki Odyssey.
With a passion for history and a keen interest in different cultures, Robert feels at ease guiding our English-speaking guests, ensuring they have an enriching and personalised experience.

Inner & Outer Archipelago

We offer two service categories.

Our Outer Archipelago packages, ideal for 3-6h excursions, offer a deeper cultural immersion with opportunities to land on islets, grill food, fish, and engage in activities that Finns enjoy, creating a truly unique experience.

Ideal for 2-3 hour adventures, our Inner Archipelago packages let you admire the cityscape and fortress islands, maybe enjoy a traditional sauna and is always possible regardless of the weather.

You can make your package about one activity or multiple.
